Huddle Up Project

An innovative, AI-integrated learning initiative that brings real-world problems into the classroom through project-based learning. Teachers pilot a new methodology to strengthen their AI teaching skills, students develop AI competencies, and parents contribute real-life challenges from their professions. Together, they explore both the possibilities and limitations of AI, creating a hands-on, collaborative learning environment for the future.

AI Teacher Development — Professional Overview
The AI Teacher Development project equips educators with a project-based learning (PBL) framework enhanced by AI, anchored in authentic, real-world problem solving. It balances methodological innovation with hands‑on professional growth, enabling teachers to test and refine AI‑integration strategies within regular classroom practice.

Pedagogical Focus

  • Competency development: Students’ AI literacy—critical information analysis, understanding algorithmic processes, and ethical, responsible AI use.
  • 21st‑century skills: Creative problem‑solving, collaboration, digital fluency, systems thinking.
  • Transferable methodology: Instructional strategies adaptable across disciplines and learning contexts.

Methodological Framework

  • Problem definition: Frame the challenge and define success criteria.
  • Research & analysis: Gather and interpret data with strategic use of AI tools.
  • Solution design: Generate and evaluate multiple solution pathways.
  • Reflection & metacognition: Make learning visible; interrogate AI’s affordances and limits.

Classroom Implementation

  • Curricular fit: Integrable into any subject without disrupting schedules; conducted during regular class time.
  • Learning design: Cooperative learning structures; increased student autonomy.
  • Assessment: Continuous formative assessment to monitor progress and adjust instruction.

Timeline

  • Oct 1 – Nov 30: Active project implementation embedded in lessons.
  • December: Extended access for outcome consolidation, evaluation, and systematic reflection.

Expected Professional Gains

  • Expanded pedagogical repertoire with field‑tested AI‑integration strategies.
  • Greater confidence in designing and facilitating AI‑enhanced learning experiences.
  • Documented case studies of AI‑supported PBL for local dissemination and future iteration.
